The Phillies defeated the Giants 9-6 in a game full of extra base hits. In the third inning Anthony Franco and Peter Flynn hit back-to-back HR for the Giants. Anthony Franco was 3 for 3 with 2 HR and 3 RBI. For the Phillies Justyn Bowen had a double that drove in 2 runs. Chad Pennington hit a triple with bases loaded. Payton White was 2 for 2 at the plate. Christopher Fritz struck out 9 batters for his second win of the season
Angels 2 Athletics 0
Michael Gaboury pitched a one-hitter, outdueling Michael Aresco of the Athletics as the Angels posted a 2-0 victory Monday at Romegialli Field.
Gaboury was working on a perfect game with two outs in the sixth, but Greg Brock -- on a two-strike pitch -- beat out a grounder to shortstop for the A's only hit.
In his pitching debut in the majors, Aresco went 4 2/3 innings, allowed one run on three hits and struck out eight. He also worked his way out of a bases-loaded jam in the third without allowing a run.
The Angels scored in the first and sixth innings.

Phillies pitching only allowed 2 hits and struck out 11 in their win over the Dodgers on Friday.
Dominick Aronson led the Dodger offense with a bases clearing double in the 3rd inning resulting in 3 RBIs.
Timmy Dickson, Logan Durant, and Payton White had 2 hits each to fuel the Phillies offense.

Dodgers 19 Giants 9
Scorekeepers were busy on Saturday as Dodgers and Giants combined for 28. Dodgers eventually won the offensive battle 19-9 in six innings. The two teams combined for 29 hits, including 10 extra base hits. The Dodgers scored seven runs in the fifth on a steal of home by Joseph Hinton, a two-run double by Daniel Botti, a two-run double by Mark Haller, an RBI single by Kevin Richards, and a bases loaded walk by Matthew Joy.
The Dodgers offense was led by Danny Botti and Mark Haller, both going 4 for 5 with 5 RBIs each. Joe Hinton led off the 3rd inning with a blast over the left field fence for his first homerun of the year.
Anthony Franco went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for Giants. Anthony doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, fourth, and fifth innings. Vincent Stifano and Peter Flynn each had 2 hits while Chris Herbert knocked in 2 with a triple in the 5th.
Indians 6 Orioles 2
The Portland NAPA Indians improved their record to 3-1 with a 6-2 victory over the Orioles on Friday night May 6th under the lights on Romegialli Field. Nick Brenchak picked up his second win of the season allowing only 1 run on 1 hit and 1 walk in 5 and 1/3 innings while striking out 11. Derek Frame and Robert Pimentel, who earned the save with a bases loaded strike out to end the game, pitched in relief.
For the second straight game Frame led off with a triple and was plated by Ryan Famiglietti to make the score 1-0. In the top of the second Julien Nicolas reached base and scored on an RBI double by Timmy Halvorsen. The Indians added another run in the third on a walk to Famiglietti and an RBI double by Pimentel, who had tripled earlier. After yielding a run in the fourth, the Indians came right back in the top of the fith for three more. Michael Held and Frame drew back to back walks. Held scored on a Brenchak double and Frame and Brenchak both scored on a Pimentel fielder's choice.
The Indians' defense turned in some great plays. Halvorsen, Nicolas, Frame and Brenchak all made put outs. Famiglietti was strong behind the plate, catching a complete game.
Angels 9 Indians 5
It was the Sean Black show on Saturday as the Angels downed the Indians 9-5 on Romegialli Field. When the Indians drove the ball to left field, Sean was there. When they hit the ball hard to third, Sean was there. When the game was on the line, Sean was there to close it out.
The Indians got on the board in the top of the first on consecutive singles by Nick Brenchak and Robert Pimentel. The Angels evened the score in the bottom of the inning thanks to singles by Zach Coburn and Michael Gaboury. In the third, the Indians added two more. Ryan Famiglietti singled. Brenchak walked. Pimentel drove in Brenchak with another single. Julien Nicolas followed with a double plating Pimentel.
The Angels answered back in the third on another Coburn single and an inside the park home run by Shane Kolstad. The Angels added another run in the fourth and put the game away in the fifth scoring five. The Indians added two in the top of the sixth, but their comeback fell short. Timmy Halvorsen and Ryan Hurlbert both had hits.
Pimentel made the start for the Indians and pitched four solid innings. Ryan Hurlbert and Derek Frame pitched in relief
